Dearest fans and followers,
Welcome to my website. Here you will be able to keep in touch, see what I’m up to and keep up to date with any future shows and appearances.
For those who don’t know me, let me introduce myself. Having spent
my childhood days growing up in Rushall, a village in the heart of
the Black Country we later moved to Telford in Shropshire. I
enjoyed a very musical time in these early stages of my life,
playing drums for the school jazz band and running my own
Dixieland band.

But my true love has always been 50's and 60's Rock and Roll and
despite my already busy childhood, I still spent all my time after school
in the Shannon Studios (my rather understated bedroom) recording old Del Shannon B-sides. I have always had a strong tie to this genre thanks to the wonderful influence of my father, the great Larry Shannon who I’m sure most of you know. In fact, music has always been in my blood with my parents touring as the duo 'Willow Green' even when my mum was carrying me.
Though currently studying away from home at the Royal College of Music in London, I haven't been able to stay away from the work I enjoy so much and have continued to travel to and from Shropshire every weekend to entertain in all the pubs and clubs, racking up a vast 80,000 miles in my little Nissan Micra.
So, here I am! My work as Billy Shannon has really taken off over the past year and I’m so grateful for all the help and support that I’ve received from you all – you’ve been great and I couldn't do it without ya!
My stage name, by the way, is derived from a combination of my two favourite singers – Billy Fury and of course, Del Shannon. All the credit for my name goes to my lovely Uncle John who decided on this name when I was aged only 4 – it’s stood the test of time and stuck ever since!
